Niagara to New England

Having seen the spectacle of the falls it is time to take things a little more quietly the last three weeks have been pretty full on, today we start to head for New England but are stopping on the way in Saratoga Springs one of the horse racing meccas of the USA (just because it’s convenient), we had plenty of time for Alison to take in a couple of craft shops as a diversion from the motorway driving.
From Saratoga we crossed from New York state in to Massachusetts and switched to the state routes instead if the interstates this let us really enjoy the New England country side, it is easy to see why the autumn colours are such a spectacle here as all the different shades of green that are here now across these vast hill sides covered by trees is truly a sight right now. The villages seem to be stuck in time with some logos on petrol stations and stores that have long disappeared the cities.
As we approach Dartmouth where our hotel for the next three nights is located it feels like we are driving through a scrambled version of England nearly every town has a name from home but they are all in the wrong order.

What will this look like in a six weeks time?

Shades of green

What year is it?
