"Pilgrims"

Plymouth is where the Pilgrim fathers first landed back in 1620, When we were at the Grand Canyon I got talking to a family from Boston and asked for recomendations of places to visit in their area first on their list was Plimoth Plantation (not a spelling mistake) this is a reproduction of the first settlement with “actors” playing the part of the settlers they stay in character whatever questions are asked and do give an authentic feel to the place. There is also a reproduction of a Native American village at the time of the first settlers this also has been very well done with descendants of the tribe taking the roles around the village. Having explored the plantation we then went on to the harbour to see the replica of the Mayflower that brought the settlers to America, this replica is again very good having built in England and sailed across to America. Having explored Plymouth water front and sampled more Ice cream we returned to our hotel, as always during this trip the room is a twin double bed room and Esme quipped that “I has spent so long sharing a bed with my sister this holiday we are practically married”
